| TradCath began as an email list back
in 1989, originally known as Paradosis, which is a Greek word meaning "tradition."
It was originally part of the ACTS
apologetics BBS. Later it became a group of it's own since the discussions of
TradCath were not really apologetic in nature. TradCath used to be one of the busiest and
best places for Traditional Catholics to get together and discuss and even debate things, and
we'd like to see it restored back to that former popularity, if it be the Lord's Will, that will
happen again. We have opened up the allowable topics of discussion to embrace more of
what is on the minds of Traditional Catholics and those interested in Traditional Catholicism.
Topics Open for Discussion
- Upcoming events at your local Traditional Catholic chapel/parish.
- How and/or why you became a Traditional Catholic.
- Questions you have a because you're considering becoming a Traditional Catholic.
- What is sede vacantism and do those who claim "the seat is empty" have valid arguments?
- What is SSPX and what is this talk of schism?
- How has the Motu Proprio from July 2007 affected parishes around your diocese?
- Other topics of interest to Traditional Catholics.
TradCath is not a place for non-Catholics to challenge Catholic teachings. If you're interested in that
sort of apologetics, please visit: Catholic Response
where there are several options for discussing Catholic to non-Catholic apologetics.
